AERIAL SILKS

Aerial discipline derived from the Aerial Rope made up of a large length of fabric folded in half to form two fabric panels hanging vertically from a hooking device, inside which the acrobat rolls and contorts to execute aerial dance and acrobatic moves and tricks and unlike other aerial disciplines where there are a limited number of figures and shapes, aerial silks grants the performer remarkable flexibility.Acrobat Productions were the first company to perform Aerial Silks in the uk and formed its signature Aerial Silks group in 1996.

In 2002 Acrobat Productions devised, cast & co-ordinated a BBC Aerial Silks ident that ran on the BBC for 5 years. We later reprised it as a comedy spoof for both the TV channel E4 and for the opening sequence of the French & Saunders Christmas TV Special
